I recently made a trip back to Rocky Mount NC to take down the Space Inbetween.
It was a pleasure to work with the Arts Center at Rocky Mount, the space is beautiful and large. just the right size for some of my larger Sculpture. I have nothing but great respect for the venue.
A Special Thanks to: Catherine Lloyd, Visual Arts Specialist of the Maria V, Howard Arts Center. The show looked great and I felt Good about every single detail.
 

I have been working on this idea of anti stereotyping, -yes I have been subjected to it. That's what happens when your either too "Mexican" or "not Mexican enough".
Anyhow I found it humorous and decided to start something called the Professional Mexican. (Which by the way I did a google search for it the other day and came across the urban dictionary definition of it - and it was unbelievably racial. here is the link to the Urban dict website for you to enjoy.)

"the space inbetween" is now on display at the Maria V. Howard Arts Center at the Imperia Centre, Rocky Mount North Carolina.
Opening reception is Sunday June 5th 2011. From 2:00 - 4:00pm
The exhibition runs thru September 25th 2011
